Trigger fish in action.

It's a very weird sight to see a trigger fish in action... thought you would appreciate seeing this.

Awfully cool critter - orange banded on the fins - couldn't quite get a picture with them flared all the way out... decided he was best left alone after all.

Shark!!!!

NOTE: Divers in background - shark in foreground - not that far from divers. We saw this one come in and circle, we warned them then swam out of there!

The shark circled around a few times, went under us a few more times... then BOOM - we heard a power head go off. They had "shot" it (bullets in a spear add on- Power head). They didn't kill it - but it had a hole in it's head...








The one that followed us to the surface... AFTER we had "lost" the gun and had only a spear to defend ourselves sitting at 20' in 80' of water... not a good feeling. It didn't come back, but Butch had two groupers in his bag, so it smelled the blood from them, we're sure... it was happily following the blood trail right to us!






WHY the first one got shot... it grabbed Barney's bag while he was getting a grouper out of the hole... NOT a good thing... shot it next chance he got (AKA next time it got close enough - too close for me!)
